Faith is what brings me close to the pristine temple of Sai Baba on Lodhi Road, Delhi. Back in December 2006, I remember some of my colleagues (at the time I worked with Kotak) were talking about the miracles of Sai Baba and the temple at Lodhi Road. And I was fascinated by words and thoughts to visit someday. The temple was on his way to office. One day I just went down the bus and paid visit to the temple. Believe me, when I climbed marbled staircase leading to the shrine, I felt a different charm. My heart was filled with happiness and my mind was free from all tensions. This one visit turned into regular visits at the end. I eagerly waited for Thursdays, when the premises of the Mandir has climbed up the devotees. Temple sees a huge rush of devotees on Thursdays all the people standing in line for hours to pay their offerings to Baba.
Now, here on Thursday evening aartis need special mention. Aartis performed five times in one day for a well respected purohits day, but Thursday Aarti has its own charm. Men, women and children converge offer prayers and Aarti spectacular to behold. I enjoy every moment rite there from the beautiful bhajans for piglets yummy .. especially Halwa. beautiful dresses worn by Baba is one of the main attractions. My friend, Garima, and we both die to see what Sai Baba was wearing a suit and color their own dresses. I know this is really crazy but fun. Every moment I spent in the Mandir will always be the assistant to the memoirs.
Every time I feel low, I turn to him. 'Vjera'je what always brings me close to him. I felt a touch of Baba blessing HIS unseen hands many times.The biggest favor that was showered on me until now was "helping me to survive in a city like Delhi. Believe me or my parents or my money to finance their education, but Somehow things are arranged according to him, and I finished my degree and provide a decent job. I think the best thing that ever happened to me was on the 5th May 2007, "My Birthday". I still remember my parents were crying and apologizing that they can not gift me anything like they did in my previous birthdays and I was consoling them, CIES La Vie, and I try to be a smile. That day will not believe it, but when I went to the Mandir, as it was decorated with flowers. It seemed to me like it was a special occasion or something, but when I confirmed, I got to know that this was not the Purnima day. Then I realized that Sai Baba is arranged things for me and I loved it. After a day of tears, my face is again a full smile. Again he gave me a reason to smile and be happy. I sat down and talked with him for a time as usual. So you have to ask .. How can anyone communicate with God .. but do not be surprised that I can sit talk to him for hours. It was not enough .. as I moved out of the corner, where the piglets are distributed, I got to see that both 'Halwa' and 'Chole Puri' was distributed. Now after seeing Yummy food, I was more happy and full of life. (Love you Sai Baba, Thanks for all of this) This birthday will always be engrained in my mind as "The Best Birthday'.
above events are just one of the few to mention. Each time he was helping me and pulling me out of the mess. three short but powerful word 'OM SAI RAM' are my strength. Everyday begins and ends with them. Thank Sai Baba for me to put into your fold. Love You loads. always be on my side as you have always been.
